Mu was created in 2010 by Anthony Boule, environmental engineer, and François-Xavier Ferrari, industrial designer. This project was born from the wish to combine their expertises for a pragmatic and applied approach to eco-design. To be coherent, Mu operates under the legal status of a SCOP SARL.
For 8 years, Mu guides its clients to enhance their products and services’ eco-efficiency, so why not implement this approach to our agency ?
In 2017, Mu developed an action plan to reduce its environmental footprint and improve our impact on society.
B CORP, A LABEL THAT COMBINES ENVIRONMENTAL AND SOCIAL PERFORMANCE, TRANSPARENCY AND ACCOUNTABILITY
Since its creation as a cooperative until the experimentation of the “free bonuses” at the beginning of 2018, Mu has always wished to stay an exemplary and innovative company. Being a certified B Corp enables us to not only raise loudly and strongly our beliefs but also to join and support a community that uses business as a force for good.
To be part of this responsible companies community, Mu has demonstrated its exemplarity on nearly 200 criteria about its governance, its employees, the community, the environment and its clients. It allowed us to challenge ourselves and to formalize our commitment through an action plan that the entire team helped to develop. Our objectives? To go even further in reducing our environmental footprint and in improving our impact on society.
“(We) do not seek to be the best company in the world, but the best for the world.”
That’s how we could simply define the B Corp certification. A demanding label that brings together companies which use business as a force for good and meet rigorous standards of social and environmental performance. For B Corp certified companies, success is not the attainment of profit or popularity, but the creation of a shared and durable prosperity for all.

« In each eco-design project, we combine environmental engineering, industrial design and materials expertise. When needed, we call upon partners with more specific expertises (prototyping, industrialization, user sociology, etc.) »
